Reading a security queue without standing in it

From the supervisor hatch you see trays returning, lanes opening, and a spill you cannot hear. Standing in the queue teaches tempers and nothing about lane names. We draw from the hatch because that is the job’s eye.

Lane names must match the radio. If the wall says “North 2” and the radio says “Lane 2 North”, someone will open the wrong lane at 16:10. We copy the radio, even when the estates department prefers a tidier label.

The sterile-side spill into retail is the quiet fight. Commercial sees empty shops; operations sees a search area that cannot breathe. The board shows the spill as a shaded bite, not as a moral. Duty teams already know the morals.
